Other Answers:
you have stress issues, and need to detox.

snoring can be cured, see your doctor.

I bet you have sleep apnea!

My husband has it and he waited until it was so bad that he fell asleep driving before he went to the doctor for it.

There are several signs of sleep apnea, I think you should google it, see if it matches what you do, if it does you should see a doctor!

(a person with sleep apnea never enters REM sleep, or rarely does so)

It doesn't get better on its own!

It is most probably stress. Do your best to find a near-by Yoga class (old-fashioned, not heat, or power). You'll be amazed after a few sessions, maybe more, that you can actually attain a level of peace, where your mind is still, no thinking. Even though your body is resting while you sleep, your mind never stops to rest.

I have exactly the same problem as you. I just loved to think and think and think. The habit seems to be worse as it is affecting my family. I always suspect things like my wife is going out with someone, my kids are not doing well in schools so I must "think" of something to eliminate the situation. It affect my sleep so badly that sometime I didnt think I had enough sleep but actually I has slept for 12 hours! So what is the cure? I have tried these and I strongly believe that if I really follow these suggested cures carefully.I will be cured.

1) Meditate.just pure easy observation of breathe and DO NOT THINK
2) Exercise
3) Choose a reliable and good friend who you can trust and open your heart
4) Do something useful like charity
5) Watch funny show or read books.try not to concentrate too much.easy reading without stressing your mind It could be a number of different things. It could be stress, sleep apnea, depression, etc. When I was depressed I had a hard time concentrating and remembering things. And it was hard for me to sleep because I couldn't shut my brain off. You should talk to a doctor. You could be put on a medication to help you get a good night's sleep.
