I am Looking for Employment in the Criminal Justice Field with Clinical Depression, is it possible?

Just keep your depression under control, make sure you DON'T stop your meds and reguarly see your pshchiatrist like once a month. It is nobody's business if you are or aren't depressed so you don't have to tell them. The trouble comes if they start seeing changes for the worst within yourself. But if you follow what your doctor says then you should be okay. Put your mind to it and you can do or be whatever you want to. Achieving this goal might even help you with your depression because you are doing what makes you happy. It's all up to you......good luck they offer criminal justice degrees online phoenix.edu.com
oh boy...some places would tell you no....i know that when you join the military and you tell them that you are taking antidepressants, they usually frown upon that and need to get a medical release from your doctor to make sure you are not a threat to yourself or others...
i would assume that law inforcement would be similiar...you may have to go through a psych evaluation
Sheri's right. I was in law enforcement for 10 years and you would have to go through a psych exam anyway. You have to advise of all medications you are taking. If you don't tell them about the antidepressants and they find out, you would be fired. No questions.
