Well the main thing is to pray. But if you dont do any of that, sounds to me you might need to see a hypnosist. put down alll your problems on a piece of paer and narrow them down and find the least one of your concern til you get to the worst. find out what to do about it and move on to the next. I really reccomed you to pray and have faith that God will delete all the woories you shall have. He wants you to turn all your burdens to him. so you can live a good life. it might not be perfect but always remember that he will remove a weaken heart and make it strong again by faith, with your faith in Him!

Speaking with a therapist.
Excercise is one of the best things you can do. Physical activity causes the brain to release endorphines; seratonin and dopamine. Anti-depressent medication either helps the body with it's use of seratonin, dopamine, or both. Physical activity may not release as much endorphines, and your body not use it as effeciently as it would with anti-depressent medication, but it is by far the best thing for you. Excercising, besides the chemical component mentioned above, also helps you to feel better about yourself physically, and your image. HTH
Pot is a temporary solution but will eventually make the problem worse. I might suggest trying to up your adreniline with some XXXtreme sports. Do some rock climbing, sky diving, shark diving, snowboarding. Something to make you feel alive baby!
There are herbal supplements that help, also exercise will lift the spirits :-)
Make a lot of (healthy) friends, don't drink, don't do drugs, work hard, go on vacation, get in really good shape or do other rewarding things like charity stuff, make crazy plans for the future, live in the moment, take everything one step at a time, relax...
Plenty of beer my friend, plenty of beer!
Light exercise and St Johns Wort. It is impossible to be depressed when exercising, St Johns wort is an herbal that can help minor cases
But you might be better with some of the rx's that are tried, true (and therefore cheap and generic) I use one or I get depressed sometimes
First off figure out what it is that is making you feel that way , then start having fun again
Depending on the severity the only option is to see your doctor and get on a med. If you are just a little bummed out try exercising...go for a long, long, long, walk or a bike ride. Make it a regular (daily) thing. Exercising gets your "feel good hormones" going and will naturally perk you up.
w/o prescriptions?? ur left w/ punching pillows and straight jackets!!
Exercise, meditate, eat healthy foods, don't abuse alcohol or do any other mind altering drugs. Volunteer to help others, see a therapist. Also try St John's Wort, but be well informed about quantity and frequency before you do.
During my divorce process I was depressed and I took art classes (art therapy) and it help a lot.
it all depends on what's triggering your depression. I guess no matter whats triggering it, its to stay active. Get out there and do something that will keep you moving. Take a walk, maybe start an exercise routine so that you're both healthy and less depressed. Relax- if you're life is to stressful try to take some time off or try to limit extra things that are cluttering up your time. Not sleeping well or eating right does not help. Make sure that you're not having any internal/ external conflicts with anyone. Keeping these things bottled up doesnt help, be honest about your feelings and hang around those who'll make you happy.

I would take a close look at your diet. How much unnatural foods are you eating? McDonalds? Diet may be a factor in how you feel about yourself. Try exercising as well. And most of all KEEP YOUR CHIN UP! You are only given as much as you can handle! Smile everyday! And make someone else smile! And don't listen to people that tell you the only way is prescription medicine.
Good Luck!
Try to notice if there's something you do (like a certain motion or sighing) right before you become depressed or realize that you are depressed. Then when you find yourself starting do that action do something to distract yourself or change the action, for example if you sigh just before you become depressed to continue the sigh to a ridiculous extent, until you've completely emptied your lungs.
exercise and nutrition...exercise creates endorphins, endorphins make you happy, happy people just don't kill there husbands.
nutrition is also key, if your eating the wrong food it can slow your metabolism which can slow down the serotonin from being released in your brain, which also helps create the happy feeling.
My mama always said "when you're depressed, get your big muscles moving!" It helps to be active and you sleep better which helps. My MIL said "Go volunteer and help someone else who's less fortunate than you." It keeps you grateful for what you've got and takes the focus off you and your problems. Hope this helps.
Exercise....eating healthy.....doing for others.......
having close family or friendships.......staying busy.......thinking of others and how you can make their lives better.......letting go of anger, resentment and bitterness.......forgive someone over and over again
Herbs: St John's wort, valerian ( health food store)
keep a journal, it can help u gain insight into ur emotions. sit down and write for 20 mins (don't think about grammar or spelling). Just write what ever comes into ur mind. U will find that putting thoughts on paper will help yu sort through painful emotions, clarify decisions, and keep ur life in track
a brisk 45 mins walk stimulates your body to produce endophins, natural mood elevating chemicals. Practice preventive mental helthcare by taking a walk everyday
keeping yourself from having an episode is helpful, because each time that you are depressed, it affects the mental balance in a negative way. Good health practices, hobbies, and a person with depression tends to try to please too many people, this is a mental strain..you don't owe anyone anything, let it go.
Moderate to hard exercise - your body produces more endorphins and dopamine level increases. It makes a significant difference in your attitude, you feel better, and the effects are long-lasting.
Taking a daily walk or some kind of exercise is always healthy not only for the body but the mind. Eating healthy foods and watching your intake of salt and sugar, starches and carbohydrates is another healthy alternative. You may want to talk to a counselor too. People don't have to take medications. But medications are available for those who suffer bad forms of depression for a long period of time. Try these out, and if you feel better that's great! But if you don't, then I suggest you see your family physician about your depression. He or she may recommend you to a good psychiatrist for medications. Taking medications is not shameful for depression. The world doesn't look down at someone as bad as they once did years ago when someone needed meds. to help them manage their depression.
Good luck and I hope I was some what helpful!

It is hard but remember this, it is not impossible. You need to find professional help that you can pour your heart out to. A psychologist would be ideal. Try to take a walk everyday even if it's just for 5 minutes. Sit out on your step and just look around and all the beautiful things that are around you. Eventually you start to enjoy little things like that. Tell someone how much you love them, tell them exactly how you feel and apauligize for something you may have done and tell them you love them, pushing some of the negative energy out of the way such as being mad at someone will help and also build some confidence that will make you feel good. Anything that feels right to you, (besides laying in bed) If you lok deep down you will know what you should be doing but that darn depression doesnt want you to do it. Try to pick 10 things out of every day as they happened that you enjoyed, even if it was just a bird flying in the sky just things that were nice to see. Good luck to you and hopefully these may help you. I defeated depression without meds and I wont lie it is soo hard to do but is possible. it is within your reach and have faith that you will do it.
try holistic-online.com. try walking for 30 minutes. have sex or masturbate. sing. dance. pray. listen to music. do not watch the news. eat veggies or fruits. maybe sweets on the side.
