I'm claustrophobic! How do I get rid of it?
Question:
What I fear is that I'll loose my breath in there. I know it's impossible, but still.
Please help is you have an idea.
Answers:
only way is to confront it in small doses.. go into your closet with the door open and stay in there for a few minutes .. do this daily.
once your ready for more close the door. work yourself up to being able to stay in it for a half hour without freeking out.
I was afraid of heights.. and i still occasonally get vertigo, but its mostly under wraps, i exposed myself to heights as often as i could until it became less of a big deal

I dont think there really is a way, sorry
I've been reading a book by Carol Bowman who discusses curing these types of ailments in children by finding out if they had a traumatic death in a former life. It could be that you drowned or were suffocated in a former life. Are you having (or have had) dreams which also show this fear in it? Or any about drowning or suffocating? If so, perhaps you will need to experience that again to get rid of the problem. There are psychologists out there who specialize in past-life regression so you can fix those problems. If you can't go to a psychologist, try self-hypnosis/meditation. There are books out there to help you through this process. Once you are relaxed and can face your fear, you can put it away. stay in a corner for a month then run down the street yelling i've gone crazy and i'm sexy!! no shame in it right?? oh by the way the best way to getting rid of claustorphobia is streaking and or skinny dipping bye now ps.. i'm not c razy i know this from persoal experiences and the 543543987543987 docotrs i have said so
You asked this question in the mental health section so I suggest leave it alone. You can live with it and the phobia dies out and goes away after a few years anyway. Be prepared for more serious mental problems as they are more important. He will have to keep you in an open place to make love to you right. Oh gee! did you feel that? It must be a connection.
