how long can one stay on celexa without any problems?
Question:
Answers:
As long as you don't have any troubling side effects you can take it forever. Some people feel like they may want to go up on the dose if it seems to be working a little but not enough. That is OK too if your doctor will write a prescription. Just don't increase it yourself. If you took too much without a doctor's supervision you could get sick. But as an antidepressant it really is one of the gentlest ones out there, meaning the side effects are minimal if not completely absent.

i was on celexa for alittle while. my problems were really bad and i couldn't stay on it. i was just getting "sicker" as the doctors would say but some other people on it that i know says that it works really well. I guess it depends on the"sickness" that you have! sorry i couldn't be any more help.
I was told I'd likely be taking Celexa for life...I think of it as taking a vitamin...my system needs it to function properly. I've already been on this med for appx. 7 yrs.
