Does your opinion of a person change when you find out..?

Question:
That there on anti depressants? And how so?

Answers:
No, if they were on anti-depressants when I met them, only going off of them would maybe change their personality some.
People on anti-depressants know that they need some help and are getting it. It's the people not getting help that may be a problem to know.

Other Answers:
Nope, they're still the same person to me!
no. you would be surprise at the number of people who are..
no not usually
Not at all.
No. If anything I feel as though I'm close to them in that we share something common.
No
I hope not ..
Mine doesn't, but I know a lot of people that would. It's wrong, but unfortunately, there are people that would judge them differently if they were on anti-depressants.
No. Why would it change? It would not change if they had any disease, and depression is a disease.
Not really, but anti-psychotics are a different story. Best wishes
No. It shows me they are trying to better their life by taking control and doing something about their condition. My opinion would change about someone if they just sat around on their depressed butt, swimming in their sorrows and not doing anything about it, you know?! I used to be on anti-depressants and now, thankfully I don't need that stuff anymore.

No. Why should it? I'm on them and am I better person now that I am. It's not a weakness. I admitted to myself thathere was a problem and took steps to fix it. Would you think less of someone taking heart medication or insulin for diabetes?
No, I would be happy that they are taking care of themselves.
No because we all are! This world is very depressing! People judge tooooo much.

Nop my opinion doesn't change because I am also on anti depressants. It doesn't mean i'm crazy and it doesn't mean I'm not a good person. It just means that hereditary, i;m not able to be as happy as other people. You should be understanding. Now..on the other hand if they were other psychiatric medicines like for schitzos..then that's a different story.
No, that is something you cannot help.
Yes, in a way. Any psychoactive drug like that are designed to change a persons personality .. when I find out that a person is using them I always wonder what the "real person" is like as opposed to the drug addicted version I am talking too.
well it should itn matter cause the anti depressants help a person become who they would normally be depression is like a cold it comes and goes
No
No, definitely not.

Depression is a disease, just like diabetes, cancer, etc.
i told my ex right before we broke up again that i was taking some. i think he shared the info with his family and now they have a bad opinion of me, like i have these big issues and he needs to be careful about me.

they are a pretty mild sort and mostly i wanted them so i didn't sink into a deep depression. life can be tough these days and i wouldn't hold it against anyone because i know what it feels like to feel helpless. also, you don't want to eat away at your friends' patience and understanding until it is no longer available to you. things will get better, but sometimes you need a little extra help!
No, they still get my respect and sympathy..
Unfortunately we all draw conclusions, be it right or wrong we reference all that know about a person and short through it. So be on your best behavior. lol Try not to go on pharmaceuticals if possible because it might be hard to get off. Although like all medication if you seriously need it you need it. Only if it is absolutely necessary. Okay. Be good to yourself.
No-the majority of people that are on antidepressants are on them for a reason. Depression is the #1 mental illness in our nation-imagine what these poor people would be like without their meds.
if i found it out indirectly - i'll try to help them out of that situation but if i was told about this by that person only then it might not even be true - some ppl do such stuff do gain sympathy

but..
if u are sure it's true u must help that person out -

most anti-depressants have major side-effects so smtimes ppl over-react to certain situations which u might not understand otherwise-
