I think have insomnia... I cant sleep...and i cant turn my mind off...what are ideas to help me sleep?

I am 13yrs old and i cant sleep.. i think im obbssessng over my weight , but i still cant sleep I am trying the best i can o go o sleep but i cant!! and being on this computer doesnt help.. but ive tried almost anything please help a school girl sleep!

if possible, get a good deal of exercise every now and then. does not have to be every day, every 2 days would do if you do it whole-heartedly. however, this needs determination and will to do it. this should take care of your weight and making you slightly more tired at the end of the day.

in addition, you can try drinking warm milk around 1 hour before bed time and if possible, eat some cherries. cherries help to produce a chemical to make you sleep better.

take your books out and start studying or start praying, you're sure to fall asleep as soon as possible!

i have a good tip but u shall work for it take opium and make a paste of it on a motter passer and then take a spoon full of it in milk before u go to bed take it daily
I have suffered from insomnia also for a couple of years. I have tried many solutions, but I will recommend you one that really works. Take two tennis balls, put them together and tight in a sock. Make a nod to the sock. Put it under your head, in the area of the so-called small brain, while you've lied down to sleep. Keep it so for about 10 minutes. This therapy helps to turn your mind off. Another suggestion: don't stay for long in front of the computer, esp. in the evening.
Do 'Yoga' everyday it will help you to increase your concentration, keep you fit & also you will get sound sleep.
Racing mind is what I was diagnosed with. I do understand what your going through. You have alot of good advice here but you need to discuss this with your mom then a doctor (and don't be shy) It can really cause your body distress if you allow it to go on. There are med's.
Benidril antihistamine causes drowsiness. So does melatonin at your health food store.

Exercise, excercise, excercise. When i cant sleep i go for quick walk or jog. A nice little work out a few hours before bed helps greatly. Not to mention its healthy and will help u loose weight if that is what u are worrying about.
