How commom is schizoid personality in people?

Question:

Answers:
It is estimated that less than 1% of people have schizoid personality disorder. I think it's hard to get precise numbers about how common it is though, because few people who have this disorder seek help.

Other Answers:
Not sure about that diagnosis but am familiar with paranoid schitzophrenia and the misunderstanding often arizes confusing that with multiple personality disorder when in fact it is a totally different imbalance. I'd say perhaps 1 in 10 has some mental illness of sorts, and some are improperly or uncertainly diagnosed, so there's no exact figures. I'd suggest researching "diagnosis schizoid-personality statistics" on google.com
it is never what we call a normal thing but i believe a lot more poeple have it than what we think.
Note to all: This is not the same thing as schizophrenia. All the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual for Mental Disorders says is that it is uncommon in a clinical setting which means it is very rare. It is one of the lesser heard of personality disorders.
