when people say to you, it doesn't matter, in response to your question, what do you usually say/feel?

Question:

Answers:
Depending on the context and the situation would make a difference. If I asked a question and was told "It doesn't matter" I may have the tendency to feel invalidated. If I was told at the end of a lengthy discussion "It doesn't matter anyway" I would feel annoyed. Why did we have the discussion in the first place if "It doesn't matter" But if I asked a choice type question such as "red or blue" and was told "It doesn't matter" I would have no feeling, just a decision, "red or blue". Then if they didn't like my choice we would be back to invalidation or annoyance. Hope I explained myself clearly, but if I didn't, what does it matter?

I just ignore them,, so many ppl on here are just gathering points and have no valid opinion.

Move on to a better answer. They're right their answer doesn't matter.
It really depends on what context they are using to preface that statement. Many times there are questions about such things as teenage angst, or others opinions about something you do. People then answer this way knowing that often times these types of situations are transient and pass on their own given time and wisdom. While I rarely give the answer it doesn't matter, I do often say that it is how you perceive something rather than what others think. That statement applies as an answer to this current question.
SAY: Nothing
FEEL: That they are not really interested or care, which depending on the topic of the discussion I could become upset that they don't care.
It really all depends on a number of things relating to what you are intially talking about
Who gives a toss what the morons think? As an intelligent woman you should rise above them.
i feel bad but but some people just don't really understand you shouldn't listen to them listen to the ones who care i do most do its 1 or 2 who don't everyone else seem fine
