what should i do? i let my mom move onto our property, now she has let my brother move in.?

Question:
i let her move onto our property in a house trailer after her husband died. i havent lived around her in over 20 years. i think she is an alcoholic and my 34 year old brother is bipolar. they fight all the time, even have had the police out.i have a made a huge mistake by letting them move so close. what am i going to do?

Answers:
You should have a serious talk with her. Better when she's sober. Tell her you care about her (I'm sure you do, since you let her move in) and that first you'd like her to get alcoholic counselling. I'm sure that would solve a lot of issues. Offer to go with her, if she wants.

Then, be honest and tell her that her living situation is affecting you and your family. Since she has a trailer, offer to help her look for a trailer park, or some other place where she can place it. Just be calm and honest, and tell her your feelings. If she gets aggressive or defensive try to keep your own voice down and calm.
it's hard, but i think that you should ask your mother to move out. if your brother is Bi-polar, he needs your help. maybe you can even get your mom a Boyfriend!
