Donuts - and the possibility of more donuts to come.
Fire %10 of the worst ones in front of the others.
Read "How to win friends and influence people", by Dale Carnegie. I'm not kidding, that book is full of great ideas for motivating people, and keeping them motivated. Do it!
Give them an idea of what it is they are working for. Being a leader you should also be able to inspire and give them a vision for themselves and the organization. Impart the idea that what they're doing contributes to your overall goal.

. and yes, give them a lot of donuts :-) good luck
I suggest praising them for every step they make toward success. Remind them that they have solved problems before, and they seem to be much more capable than they might realize. Ask them to pretend that someone else has their problem and ask them what they would advise. Impower and praise and reward at every chance.

Lots of experience through teaching and raising children.
Show leadership by example. And provide them with both positive and negative reinforcements.
Leading by example is the best way I know to instill a sense of pride in those you supervise. If you are trying to get the kids you take care of to have some sort of passion for something in life, then you will have to take the time to find out what each one's dreams are or were at one time in their lives. Then take that information and build on it. Start with positive reinforcement. Maybe purchase some things that will allow those first steps toward their dreams. When they see that you are honestly vested in them they will start to turn around. You will be amazed at how fast they can react to honest care and appreciation!
the best you can do is appreciate them for thier taste in terms of thier dress, interests ,ask the boys what are they doing on weekends and ask the ladies where do they shop for dress so that you could buy your wife or family ,coz ladies feel great that someone in the office atleast appreciates thier taste.dont get too personal stay profeesional .ok if you have any doubts send me a question i will help.bye
1. Rewards. Monetary or other.
2. Demonstrate to them the importance of the work they do.
3. Encouragement. Let them know how important they are, and how you appreciate what they do.
4. Listen to them. Take their input into consideration. Hold weekly meeting in which they report their progress to the other people, and let them suggest improvements.
5. Assign special tasks to them. Give them more responsibilities.
6. Do not (I repeat - DO NOT) use negative things like reprimanding them, embarrassing them or degrading them in front of others if they make a mistake. Fear and hatred do not bring any good results.
Gain their respect, be firm in what you tell them and what you want and never give in.

One of my children has been in group home settings for children with issues.
Give em cookies for when they do something good. Show interest in what they REALLY like in life. Tell them that what they're doing is a constructive way of working towards a way of life in which they will have lots of freedom to do what they REALLY want to do, that their personalities will develop with enough self esteem to become as "free" in their minds as they long to be. In time. with a little effort :)

Good luck, hope it helps in a way.
There is a process to motivate people so that they will take more interest in what they are doing. The process (generally is to)

1- First involve them in planning of that activity or event

2- Then allow them to do it their own way, just supervise do not
do it yourself and

3- Then make them partners in the risks and rewards of the
activity or event

Now the above process is general, to make it specific u have top think about your own management style, personality of people u r supervising, company rules and of course nature of work.

When u have done this home work apply this process as little or as much as u want. Happy supervising
thank you for 2 points
