Is it wrong to stay home from work because you are stressed in your personal life?

Question:
How do you cope with not being able to focus at work when you have personal problems outside of work?

Answers:
No, if what's going on in your life has your head in a mess, and you need to stay at home to clear it up, that's fine.

Take a down day, and just rest, as a clutter mind, can not focus, and your work performance may suffer b/c of it.

But if this is a pattern, then you really need to face what ever it is bothering you, seek therapy or take a short leave of absence, until you can sort things out.

One thing that might help, is a journal, where you write in at night, and put all the day's problems and troubles in the journal, and out of your mind.

I cope with stress by taking long walks after school/classes, by going to the gym, (something about breaking out a sweat, that really does the mind good) or seeing a movie.. or just playing a video game, something to take my mind off of troubles, and focus on something that does not require much thought or stress.

Good luck!

P.S. A healthy diet helps too, they say bananas are great for stress and depression. ♥ ♥ ♥
definitely, don't bring your personal issue to work, clear the calendar and stay home a couple days to sort things out.
