Yeah course there is! Anyone woman who has had 6 kids by the time she 28 coverd in stretch marks and massive belly hanging over hipsters wearing belly top thinking shes gods gift Id say somthing wrong and I see loads of them! please why? I think it all comes down to 'pride'. Too much pride and not enough pride. From a religious standpoint, pride is referred to as a sin (one of the 7 deadly sins) and I guess that makes sense because it usually leads to harm in one way or another.

Body Dismorphia or Dismorphic .

I am pretty sure it applies to both, basically it is a psychological ( pyschotic ) belief that the body is in some way mishappen, ugly, distorted etc, when it is not .

Many things can lead to this. First there was a discovery lately from the discovers of DNA that states that stupidity can actually be a disease. Many people would not like this idea because that would mean that about 1/4 of the world is disabled from it.

There is Lookism, where people think that looks are the most important thing in the world. Here's an example. Anna Kournikova is ranked 37th in women's tennis, and has never won a major singles championship. So, why is it that Kournikova makes millions more dollars from endorsements than players ranked higher? Because looks are very important, and no one wants to think of them selves as ugly.

Then there is self-esteem problems.

But for the most part, who is to say that they are not pretty? Society? You? The fact is that much of what one person may find ugly to others may be attractive. I don't like fat women, doesn't mean someone else doesn't. Also what some may find attractive may not be what others like. Times change due to the Media, but if you look at Early Renaissance Art, fat was in, today it is slim.

The truth is that no matter what attracts us to a person, it is different for each of us, and in the end it is what we think of ourselves and not what others think that matters. Anorexic and your question are two different topics, cannot be related.

But ugly, is just an opinion, is not a fact, is subjective, not sth like 1+1=2. What is ugly? What is so so ? What is beauty? How do people draw the line between? I look in the mirror and know I'm fat and ugly but inside i know I'm beautiful
