Answers:
she was the crazyest girl in class, completely insane (but very funny). all her grades were 40's and 30's never did anyhomework. allways talking lowdly in class. she only lasted a year in my school. one time in math class she was arguing with her freind abt how you draw a cherry, she went up and drew one on the board and asked the teacher if she was right! in the middle of lecture! lol.
Other Answers:
Yup. Reeeeeally really hyper, like insanely hyper.
I know someone with ADHD, and they can be funny at times.
yeah my friend has that, he is like hyper if he doesn't take his meds, other wise he is just fine
Yep, I was his manager. He cost me my job.
I think they are more fun to be around
not really like to learn more about it.
yes: they were rude, out of control, hyper, sensitive, mean, abusive, crazy
but some can be nice, and can control themselves a little bit better
p.s. : also, if the other person like a younger brother was there and saw his older brother with ADHD act like that, the younger bro would pick it up also and act like that. without ADHD.
I watched AIDS kill my best freind, slowly and painfully. Use protection people (which is not 100% safe), and if at all possible, abstain. Get to know your partner and discuss each others' history first!
yea me I'm fine what do you really wanna know? question kinda vague
just drove him to the airport.love him, and can take one or two day visit, and then the hyperness gets to me.but he's wonderful.highly intelligent and funny as hell!
my son . he can't sit still , always moving . going from one thing to the next ..
yes- several people. they can be very hyper and it is hard for them to pay attention to one thing for very long- its like they get bored with what they are doing. (unless it is something they really love or are passionate about) some people, especially as they get older, can control it without medication, but there are some people who have such severe problems that they need medication to function daily. with my little cousin she tended to get frustrated very easily especially if other people didn't understand what she was trying to get accross- my brother was never diagnosed with it when he was little but we knew he had it- he didn't like school and hated to pay attention so it took him one on one teaching to catch alot of basics in elementary school.

family members with it and i worked in a pedicatric office that diagnosed ADD & ADHD at least weekly
Certainly.
They cannot keep still, and have great difficulty focusing. They can actually be quite smart, but have trouble applying themselves.
Many people in my family have ADHD. It is a disorder that really effects a person's ability to consentrate and sit still. Among young children it can be very difficult to keep up in school, and it can carry on into high school and college even. My mother has ADD, which is the same disorder without the hyperactivity. She cannot stay on one topic of conversation, as her mind is constantly going from place to place. My siblings have ADHD and they are always tapping at things and moving around as they speak. Medication and psychotherapy can help, but really what an ADHD person needs is just a whole lot of understanding.

My family, and a BA in Psychology.
Yea, I've known a few people that have it. It is amazing how much energy those people have. I mean, its like the energizer bunny..they just keep going and going.and never get tired..just going and going.
Yes my daughter .She has the combined type of ADHD ( both hyperactivity and attention problems). ADHD was diagnosed when she was 6 by me.
There is no cure for ADHD. She didn't taken any medications but she had extra support at home and at school and for that she finds success at school and feels better about herself. She has taken also support at a psychotherapist
Now she is in high school she finds that it is hard to focus, organize or finish tasks, but she learned that she must try and she does that. She plans to go to the University now.
She often forget and she's absent-minded but she learns to manage her life and she finds a career to follow in which she will use her strengths. She has a natural talent in painting and in music (she's playing drums as an expert). She will study a painting and she continues to study drums and wants to be a band's member.
ADD and ADHD are a cop out. There isn't a blood test, cat scan, MRI or anything else that can diagnose either one of these.
Have you noticed that entire families can have either or both of them? It is a label for behavior problems. You can have a learning disability and it is now called ADD or ADHD. The drugs create zombies out of kids so they behave in school. Now it is a
regular activity for all the kids to line up in school while someone dispenses the drugs to them.
I have seen kids that have this diagnosis and there is nothing wrong with them that behavior modification could not cure. It's just that they need a lot of time and patience. I think it all started in the last few years as both parents have to work such long hours and just are not physically and mentally there for the kids. I am not placing the blame solely on the parents. I am blaming society for this growing problem.
What do these kids grow up and do? Stay on meds forever? I have seen the results of the meds and it is not good. It changes the kid's personality and thinking and that is not good.
I know this sounds too easy, but have you watched the nanny on
T.V.? Would you say those naughty kids have one of these afflictions? Don't you wonder WHY these kids are not on meds?
Most of them just need direction and guidence. A lot of kids see
their parents for an hour a day. The teachers can't do it all. It's not their job to guide and instill responsibility into the children.
I know a 36 year old man. He owns his own business. He was going through some hard times emotionally. He went to the doctor and was diagnosed with adult ADD. NOW everything that goes on in his life he blames on his ADD.
You see a kid acting up in a store and his parent looks at you and says, "oh, he has ADD. It's time for his meds".
I say Bull Pucky! If you don't have time to raise your kids then don't have any..And don't get a dog either. My sister's dog has
ADHD!
I just read all the answers above mine. Can you see any correlation between the descriptions? The unacceptable behavior gains the kid what he/she wants and needs. That is
ATTENTION!!
My youngest son (now 28 years old) and my granddaughter (now 9 years old) both have ADHD. At times, they are like everyone else. However, there are times they display the typical symptoms of ADHD.
Some of their symptoms are:
Impulsiveness
Restlessness
Inattentiveness, however; if they are doing something they really enjoy, they have no trouble paying attention. But focusing deliberate, conscious attention to organizing and completing a task or learning something new is difficult.
I never medicate my son, I had some fears about the side effects of Ritalin (the only medication at the time for ADHD). My granddaughter is on medication. It has made a great difference in her behavior, and in her grades.
Here are some websites that may help.

MY SON HAS ADHD & OFF HIS MEDS HE IS HYPER CONSTANTLY DISTRACTED GOES FROM IM HUNGRY TO I WANNA WATCH A MOVIE TO LETS GO SOMWHERE TO IM BORED IN 2 MINUTES HE IS DEFIANT IN HIS BEHAVIOR HE WILL DO THINGS HE KNOWS HES NOT SUPPOSED TO DO, ON HIS MEDS HE STILL HAS SYMPOMS BUT NOT NEARLY AS BAD
haha only my cousin, brother, mother, sister and wonderful husband. geez, im in for it when we have kids!! My husband has the most as far as the hyperactivity goes. he did not take medication. when he was a child the doctor tried him on it but he diddnt like the way it made him feel. Although as a child his nickname was "baby Damien" he has channeled his energy into his career and creative side projects. he is sucsessful and sweet and I thank God his parents diddnt force drugs on him because I don't think he would be the same person he is today. NOTE i am not saying anything bad about the meds.many people do feel more focused with a prescription.but I think it should be a choice ..I am against people who medicate 3 yr olds for just being 3 yr olds.
