Is schizophrenia life in a different dimension?

Question:

Answers:
Seems like it according to the way books describe it.

Don't know, never known anyone with that.

Other Answers:
Life in an alienated, often frightening, and sometimes highly sexualized fantasy world.
not really. The person basically thinks everything and everybody is "out to get" them, or is trying to do them wrong. They just misinterprete any actions going toward them.
I tend to think so. A friend has it. One time I walked in to the kitchen and he was lying on the floor talking in someone else's voice saying words that made no sense to me.

Hey Pipski: That's paranoia, not schizophrenia.

'nuff said?
there are several different types of shizophrenia - paranoid (which everyone thinks all schizophrenia is - hallucinations, etc), catatonic(no movement or speech), disorganized( incoherent and moods and emotions are not appropriate to the situation / no hallucinations), residual (no ral active symptoms but lacks dailty motivation) and schizoaffective disorder -schizophrenia symptoms as well as depression, bipolar or mixed mania. There is not only one type - not all schizophrenics hallucinate. They can suffer from a lot of disorganized thinking - things don't make sense and the paranoia - it is hard for them to know if smells, visuals and sounds are real or imagined - it would be like your brain playing tricks on you - they often smell things that aren't there like some auras for epileptics which probably involve some of the same parts of the brain. It is a very sad and scary disease that needs to be treated with medication but like all mental illness, there are varying degrees and types - can't be overgeneralized. That is why it is sad when they commit crimes and murders - because their brains tell them things that aren't really there like this person will hurt me, etc. it is very sad
