Use some self soothing practices. Soak your feet. Listen to music. Watch tv. Realize that you will always have problems in your life, but they don't have to be huge problems if you look at them in a different way. Take one day at a time, and if that is too much, then, like my psychologist said, take one minute at a time. If you do not neglect yourself, you will feel better about your situation. You will be better rested. If we are stressed out, tired and worried, we have little strength left over to feel good or positive, or to handle our stress in a positive way. Look at the facts, nothing but the facts. When you do this, you are ruling out your thoughts, thoughts that sometimes you believe to be true, which probably are not true.

have an alcoholic drink once in a while, that helps me. also listen to music more, yell out the lyrics and let out those frustrations. all good things that work great for me.

Heavy continuous stress is not normal..
Do something to get away from it before it harms you...
I make a list of EVERYTHING! then organize the list. I also write down how much time everything will take. I overestimate so that when it's happening I feel like a I did it really quick. If you're stressed don't try the list immediately, it will make you more frustrated if you are not an expert list-maker.
Relax! Listen to your favorite music and read a book. Just do something causual. If you are feeling artistic draw with easy-to-use crayons or markers. Just not paint! It's hard to clean up. Or if you want to write a poem, even if it sucks. Good luck.
1st thing you need to do is figure out the cause of your stress!
Being able to identify the cause will do you wonders.
If it's work maybe get a new job-sometimes that's not possible so remedy what's going on at work that's the problem.
If it's your relationship with your spouse get counseling.
If your overburdened with things to do just say no if someone asks you to do one more thing-politely explain you don't have the time.
Then start making you time!!
