Answers:
Depression is very common...in this society of individuality and lack of social connectedness I am surprised it isn't more common than it is...look up "mental health" in the phone book - many communities have "hotlines" or free counelers you can call, barring that, talk to a Rabbi, Reverend, Pastor, Father...often depression is a chemical imbalance and can be helped by medication...there is nothing to be scared of really....the sooner you get some help the sooner you can begin to be the person you were meant to be....

Get some friends, exercise, go out, ride a bike, go hiking. Do you think people in drought ridden Africa feel like this. Spoiled Americans. Whoa is me.
You need something that you like doing like take up a sport, it will make you feel Heather and pass time for you and give you an appetite.
First of all, write down the problems u think are disturbing u,one by one.Rate them according to the intensity of their causing u depression.Now.Earse less important ones.Choose any three problems at hand and write down three possible solutions for each one of them. There u are! Every problem has a solution, isnt it?This way u ll be able to focus on the solutions, rather than concerned about the problems.
do some thing exciting,
like adventure sports, you didnt mention the reason for depression, u will get over it soon, just take it easy for the time being
stay inside a big round room with no window or door for a year
you will soon recover
Talk to your family physician about it, or a guidance counselor if you are in school, or a friend, find a psychiatrist, talk to anyone that you feel comfortable with. Help is out there, don't be scared or embarrassed about talking about it. Depression is a real illness and it can be treated just like most other ailments can.
No you're not insane. Meds may or may not help. What will help is modifying your thought processes and improving your surroundings. Diet and exercise help a lot too. Read my story:

Go to your local MHMR Call first and say I need an appointment for an assessment. Tell them you want to be seen that day. You can receive free health care if you cant pay. Tell them your symptoms like you did here. Be honest tell them everything, so they can decide what medication is best for you. Drinking and drugging will make you very sick if you use antidepressants. So if you are addicted you can find a treatment center though 211 in TX. Everything you say is confidential, unless you sign a release form. No one else has to know, but there is nothing wrong with asking for help. It takes a strong person to admit when their sick and need medications, and don't let any body tell you differently. Your going to be fine as long as you stay on your meds even once you feel better. Keep all your med reveiw appts. and call the Pyhiatric Hotline or PES. if you need to. Thank you for asking

I have been on meds for many years due to a brain chemical imbalance and labled bi-polar Getting treatment is worth the leveling of my ego and pride. I hope your doing well and take care If you need me email me and let me know how your doing OK?
