How to manage your anger?


Question:
I know anger is not good. I even realized it when i'm angry. But I can't help it. It goes on and on ... I only manage to keep myself from crushing someone face. I'm turning to a very sensitive person that even me don't like.

Ah you sound like me. I took up chain smoking, but I don't suggest that. Things that worked best for me were working out on a regular basis. Maybe get a punching bag. I also write a lot, I draw, I run with my dogs. Pretty much just do anything that you enjoy.

At some times, try not to be very angry because if you're really angry, you have bad pressure... Your blood will come up to your head and that's bad (there might be serious infections which may happen). - I'm sure you know this now... Just try to calm down and breathe... Try to relax and drink water...

Anger is an emotional reaction to an undesireable situation. Since you recognize the problem, the answer is to focus on what outcome you want. Developing better communication skills can often help. Also, practice an alternative response. instead of getting angry and venting or getting physical, engage in a relaxation exercise. When you feel yourself getting that angry, relax your shoulders and neck (a lot of stress is carried there) and take slow deep breaths while trying to focus on a positive solution.

Anger is natural and there is nothing wrong with it as long as you are in control of the anger as opposed to it dictating your behavior.
