Yup. Why not place them in a cage while you're at it

Of course not, but the mothers and fathers of these said children should be cited for teaching the children no manners. no. if you look for that as an option, its not the kids fault, you need to be a better parent and teach them manners.

lol no! they should be given attention, have their hands held/ be plopped into the cart and be taken a part of the whole shopping experience!

under 6

No, why? What's the problem? I took 3yr old with me this morning and she behaved great. She is an absolute star and very responsive so I had no trouble whatsoever. She enjoyed the shopping trip as much as I did. Save your leesh and muzzle for your dog! Children under 8 are usually inoffensive. I would support the measure for those between, say, the age of 10 and 17.

When my children were very young, about 2 or 3 I did use a leash around their wrist. We lived in San Francisco and the malls could be treacherous and very dangerous for little ones to get lost in. I never would have musseled a child. How would that have protected them? I taught and disciplined my children on the appropriate way to act at home and in public so after about 3 the leash was no longer needed.

nope, the parent's been to be trained to discipline their children!!

yes unless you can take off there arms and legs then you could just put them on the mantlepiece if you did that then you'd be arrested and have them take off you

What, only when taken shopping?

maybe not a muzzle, but handcuffs if ur walking around a hand tag, or dog lead u can pull back when u think they start going off the rails

NO Children are Humans NOT animals. the Parents should teach them manners. NO. My son is two. I am already beginning to teach him to help with he shopping. This ensures he doesn't get bored and he is with me at all times.

shame on you , go do one

Yeah, for shame andy..supermarkets are a valuable training ground for good behaviour in toddlers. Mine is generally a model of decorum, but even she has the odd freak-out in the aisles. Children, like all humans, don't get it right all the time, even if they ARE taught proper manners. If children annoy you, just find a 24 hr supermkt and shop in the middle of the night.

A great start would be a remote control for VOLUME! (We get the remotes, not the parents!)
I have noticed some improvement in the wake of the absolutely awful parenting (if you can call it that) of the 1990's.
I think there should be mandatory human obedience school for both parents and their spawn-lings.perhaps then the leash and muzzle could be spared.
