What is the mental disorder called..?

Question:
When you always have to check things to see it they're in the last place you put them even though you already know it's there?

And does it have anything to do w/ the paranoia of thinking someone is hiding out in the dark to capture you?

Answers:
Yes, this is OCD or obsessive compulsive disorder.
We all have obsessive and compulsive behaviors, but to determine if this is a disorder, you must evaluate if this is affecting your normal functioning.
If it is (such as making you late to work, unable to work, unable to leave the house, unable to take care of yourself properly, etc.), you should see a doctor. There are medications and therapy methods that can help you a lot.
The fear of someone hiding in the dark waiting to get you is an obsessive thought and is part of the same disorder.
There is a lot of help for you out there if you need is and you go for it. Best of luck!
