Anxiety and depression are taking over my life.?

Question:
Does anyone have any ideas on what I could do to help with this? I am on meds for it and still can't seem to get out from underneath it all. I am to the point where it seems like life is never going to get better and I don't know how to turn things around.can anyone help me out?

Answers:
There must things in your life keeping you from achieving inner peace. Some of issues in life we encounter are difficult to deal with and at times we need to admit there is nothing we can do about it and must put them behind us and move on.
Its not easy but it will allow you space for that inner peace and help to lift your depression and banish your anxiety.
I often feel that society demands the quick fix approach to our emotional troubles, whem really being able to talk about them unjudgementally is more therapeutic.
Find someone you can talk to who can help you journey through this painful part of the road that you are facing..

Other Answers:
Study religions, Islam? coz that gives you peace of mind. You need peace of mind more then anything else..

it is a hard time but I am sure you will come through it try and find some thing posotive to think on. try prayer or remember there are many in the world worse of than you my God bless you and guide you Try some counsiling not trying to be rude just saying most medications for depression doesnt work it can actually make it worse you probably just need someone to talk to about your problems and what you want to do with your life ect.

get into therapy and work on it. or try getting involved in support groups that deal with depression/anxiety. you may need to try a different type of medication. go, visit your doc. or psych doc.

Exercise: (walks, running, workout programmes on TV, if you cant afford a gym), it is great release of feel-good hormones.
get involved in volunteer work, it is a great buzz to be helpful to the community.
Dont let depression and anxiety win, life is too precious.

It sounds like you are on the right track by seeing someone and taking mediation's..but it is going to take some time and perhaps you need some different medications..you know it takes a while for the meds to affect you ina positive way..I would certainly let my physician or mental health clinician know how you are feeling so they can help you as you get this thing turned around..you are not alone..more people today are getting help for mental health issues and on medications..you are the smart ones..so often people will try this on their own and not seek help..you are brave and recognize that you need help which is the first step toward getting your life together and facing all the challenges we have today..good luck and god bless. There must be some reason which troubled you. You feel depression and anxiety, -do yos self-counciling yourself? Then go for a councilor, he makes your mental condition good and you will be happy again, or if you know the reason then try to fight for that, don't get nervous. Our life is full of joy , sometimes we have to face critical moments,- you should overcome it - best wishes, then tell me.

I was in the very same situation once. I also became concerned that I would stay ill forever. I then decided to get a puppy to help me and it did help. That dog saved me and now ten years later I am actually happy and was so glad I made that decision. The healing started almost straight away.
There is an end to this I assure you. It can take time but don't give up and think it won't. It is like any illness. Time is the main thing toward healing. Best wishes.

i too used to suffer from depression. i have tried killing myself multiple times before. i wish i would have succeded so i would not ever have to hear whiney little pu$$ies like you. take your selfloathing *** out to the back yard, dig a hole, get in it, then shoot yourself. this would help out the family cause they would just have to put the dirt back over top of your corps. Your meds may not be the correct meds for you, I'm bipolar and it took nearly five years to get the right combination (for now) that worked to get me feeling this good. I also do some therapy, talking about problems never hurt a soul. As far as turning things around, you have to try and find something to give you meaning. Something that will give you a goal to reach for, a star to lead you. Nothing will get better unless you try to make it better yourself. Sorry, it's the cold truth. Remember, obstacles are those ugly things we see when we take our eyes off our goal. I hope I helped you in some way.

I have had this problem before except my problems worsened when I was on medication therapy. I'm not suggesting get off your medicines but there are ways to help!

A couple things you can do at home that may help:
Yoga -- its relieving and it gives a peace of mind. Look for yoga exercises online or go by the library and check out a book about it.
Have a potty trained companion animal --- a dog can lick you and a cat can cuddle next to you.

To HELP organize your life:
At night analyze your events and prioritze and maybe even rid of some. Like work and doctor appointments for mental health AND marriage love life first and drinking parties last.

To even better help:
If you are around negative people -- get away from them and go near positive thinkers that can help in some cases.
