If you are still fighting depression, see your doctor - could be an "organic" or disease cause - really, make an appointment.
Asking Jesus Into Your heart or if you've already done that a hobby and prayer plenty and plenty of prayer.
Just talk to someone. Get it out.
You know what I do when I'm depressed? I go outside. I go outside and I throw logs as far as I can until I can no longer do so. This release of energy helps me greatly.

how about just going out and doing something, try some new activity.
Exercise is a great way to combat depression; it releases feel good endorphins. In addition it can help you lose weight which is also a nice little boost to your self-image.
Definately St. John's Wort, and lots of sunshine. Light makes people happy. Perhaps get a dog. I am on medication myself, and it's not bad. Be sure to stay away from drugs and alcohol, 'cause they make it worse.
St John's Wort helped me quite a bit, although it does increase your sensitivity to the sun. (Always wear sunblock when going outside in the spring/summer/fall.)

Also, working out and yoga are very helpful. Go, endorphins! :)

Hope you find a method that's right for you, and that you feel better soon.
A Good night's rest between 8-10 hours. A walk outside when it is a sunny day out. Eating a well balanced diet with plenty of meat, veggies and desserts. Take a Centrum Vitamin every day after brushing your teeth. Exercise - walking, swimming, or something fun.

If nothing else works, see a doctor.

Personally, Centrum did it for me and walking and swimming and scuba diving.
I can tell you that physical exercise can work amazingly better than any pills!! When you exercise your body released endorphins (feel good hormone) into your blood stream.

Good Luck :)
Good friends to hang with.
Slow food.
Physical exercises.
Some kind of job you don't hate.
Meditation, praying or whatever.
Good weather.
Happy music.
Family, etc. etc. etc.
exercise - when you exercise (or laugh, or are massaged), your body releases endorphins which are like morphine and caffeine made naturally by your body. so when endorphins are in your system, you feel more happy and energetic, as well as in less pain if that's the case.
Exercise (you'd be surprised what a 15 minute brisk walk can do for you)

stay away from fast food

Get out of the house every day.even if you're simply stepping out onto your front porch. one of the worst things you can do is isolate yourself from the world. sunshine is good for the body and soul.

open communication with another human being with regard to your feelings of depression.

don't be afraid to discuss your depression with a doctor. some types of depression may be better treated with a prescription and/or more intense counseling
Keep busy. Do whatever it takes to just do something.
smoke weed and you wont feel depressed thats what i do is smoke weed and not be depreessed and its natural
Hit the fence. Sure when coach used to say those words it used to make us cry, but never underestimate the power healing power of good exercise. Also, go do good stuff for other people, for no real reason, or as the bumper sticker says, "practice random acts of kindness."
I used natural remedies involving herbs and exercise

1st, I agree w/ smallrobb.. I'm not afraid to admit it. It IS illegal and that bothers me. But the **** in my head is worse. I hate taking the 10 or 12 pills I take a day and was glad to see your question. Hope to learn something myself. I agree with all the folks on here. Get out, get around others, get sun, get God, and for loves sake, stay away from booze and all the other drugs. I have found in my ten years of dealing with bi- polar disorder that weed, not other drugs and booze, helps calm me and makes me laugh when I otherwise have little to be happy about. I know it sounds like I'm talking out of the side of my neck but, faith in God, therapy and weed have been my saving graces. I wish you well and good luck. Tough it out, it gets better.
