Have you ever had a panic/anxiety attack while driving in a car with other people?

Question:
Have you ever had a panic/anxiety attack, while you were driving with 2 to 3 other people are in the car with you, or when you're by yourself.

Do you get very nervous when you are driving with other people in the car

Answers:
Many Many Many times! Still do occasionally but not as severe. I didn't care what other drivers or my passengers thought of me or how I looked by breathing into a small lunch type brown paper bag. And yes it's ok to put on your emergency flashers and pull over to the side of the road, even on the freeway if need to, especially if I was driving alone. It's better to do that than pass out like I have heard can happen and cause an accident.

Other Answers:
Yes, very much so. I have been there, done that sweetie. Just try to take deep breaths. Sometimes it helps me to put the radio on, or if I am in the car with other people, focus on talking to them. Good luck!

Yes I have been suffering with panic attacks for 5 years. And they have been getting worse in the past year.I had to stop driving and I stay at home most of the time. When I ride with someone else I still get the same panicky feelings and I get weak and dizzy.I've tried all kinds of anti-depressants but nothing seems to suit my body. The only thing I am on now is Remeron to help me fall asleep but it makes me so tired in the daytime, and does not help the panic attacks. The doctors don't seem to know a lot about this disorder or how to treat it.It's a nightmare for real.
