Does hearing voices run thru the family?

yes it can, my great aunt was crazy and now my brother is crazy, he doesnt hear voices, hes just crazy.

many mental illnesses do run in families. hearing voices is generally a symptom of schizophrenia, which is one that research has found to be inheritable. it does NOT garauntee that you will develope it just because someone in your family does, however, as there are many other factors such as environment, childhood trauma, etc.
