Hello,Dear with certainty Xanax(contains Alprazolame) is stronger than Valium( contains Diazepam).Both are tranquilizers and work well on anxiety,panic states etc. Please,be cautious because they easily develop tolerance,that is dependancy(at about the 4 to 6 week of the intake),and are prescribed only for temporary short-term usage!! It is absolutaly normal to feel exhausted adn tired because of them.and also depends on the dosage administered.If you take more than 10-15mg of Valium or Xanax also at high dosage it's normal reaction to your body..I would like to help you,but without knowing your complaints,age,dosage,syagnose. cannot do much..If you want contact me and I of course will give you the exact details..Best of luck!!

valium and xanax are two different things. valium is a sort of relaxant that can make you sleepy and xanax is used for depression and anxiety and panic attacks that does something to the brain. Have taken both might i suggest geting a PDR (phsyicians drug reference) book avaiable at most pharmacies or talking to your pharmacist or doctor.
Dont compare the two. They are two different things. Xanax is to be used in case of anxiety states, while valium is to be used for insomnia or other epileptic disorders as a relaxant Alprazolam is a short-acting drug in the benzodiazepine class used to treat anxiety disorders and as an adjunctive treatment for depression.
Alprazolam was invented by Pfizer and is marketed under the trade name Xanax
Diazepam ( marketed under brand names Valium, Stesolid, Seduxen and Apozepam) is a drug which is a benzodiazepine derivative.
They are both Benzodianzepine, belong to the same group of drugs but different in their chemical structure.so they are not too different. but they do effect you in different ways. dont mix them anyways both are dangerous and you shouldnt take them over a long time bec benzodiazepine (xanax AND valium (diazepan)) can make you addicted in a short time! i dont know if you got depression or anxiety but check this site no matter which of those your problem is:
