Does anyone with clinical depression have problems communicating or talking to your friends/partner.

Question:
i cant seem to explain to my loved ones how i feel, the words dont come out.

Answers:
I too suffer from depression. When I was really bad I had a hard time explaining how I felt to anyone. I found that journaling let me get my feelings out. Just put the pen to the paper and write.don't think about what you are writing.just write. You will be surprised how much this can help.

I hope you feel better.

Other Answers:
i completely understand. it is really hard to express what your really feeling

that is perfectly normal I think maybe you should try to write your feelings down so that when you want to say something to them you will be able to read it to them., but I had the same problem for a very long time Yep, all the time. When I can't tell them, sometimes I saw it out loud alone, where its safe, like my bedroom. Or, I write it, and hide my words because I know where I hide them are safe.

It's all part of being depressed. It may be difficult to communicate what can you do? Can you get a little exercise every day? It will help you start to feel better. In time you will be able to talk more.

I totally understand what you mean. I was diagnosed with clinical depression about 5-7 years ago. My husband will say, why do you look so mad? I'm like, I'm not mad. Or he'll say, why aren't you talking to me? Ugh!! That drives me totally crazy! People who don't suffer from it, cannot truly understand what goes on in our heads. Chalk it up to trying to learn, my hubby is good, he knows when to back off.

I felt somewhat able to explain how I felt, but was not taken seriously. When I went on antidepressants (finally!) I had to let my husband believe they were for high blood pressure because he kept telling me there was nothing wrong with me, I should get over myself. We're not together anymore, PTL. Everyone with clinical depression have that problem.
