How can I get a prescription written without health insurance?

Question:
I lost my insurance but I need to get my Anti-depression meds refilled.

Answers:
You will just have to pay for it yourself. Or, you can try getting a quote online. Try getting a quote online. I am paying less than 1/2 of what I was before after going online & submitting a quote request & I have a lower co-pay & better coverages.

Get health insurance quotes at:

That's fine, you can still have a script, you just pay for it out of pocket. To do that go to the doc, then fill it at someplace like Costco. Ask for generic drugs if you are worried about cost.
I hate to tell you this, but you might have to pay for it yourself.

Does COBRA apply to you at all? Also, you may want to investigate cheap policies in your state. Look around on the internet for them. Ask them specifically about the one RX you take. It might reduce premium instead of coverage for any number of RXs.
Having insurance has nothing to do with getting a prescription written. You can check to see if the drug company offers assistance to the uninsured or if there are any local programs that can help. Often doctors can give you sample medications that they have on hand at no charge. Explore your options.
you can still refill them, you'll just have to pay full price (which, depending on the drug might be extremely expensive). If you have a hard time being able to afford the med, talk to your doctor - there are programs out there that can help you pay for your prescriptions if you qualify..the doc should have more info on this, if not, try asking your pharmacist.
Your shrink can get them for you through various assistance programs from pharmaceuticals. I had a friend who got 10 yrs for writing one for herself. It was not the correct thing to do. Good Luck !
