I sedom carry cash I carry visa debt / credit cd, I constantly say that Im broke, I use coupons,grocery store/ resturant, I just love that ENTERTIANMENT BOOK, I wash my own car, I always want to go Dutch. I go out to dinner when the kids can eat free, i buy my groceries a week at a time because I dont want to spend a lot in just one bunch. (I have a great job with benefits so I am not HURTING FOR MONEY ) , DO YOU THINK I'M CHEAP?

Nope not at all, you just like to watch what you do with your money. You should treat yourself and the family everyonce in a while though but i dont think you are cheap at all just like to watch where your money goes If you're not hurting for money and yet constantly saying you are broke, then yes. I think you are cheap. It's more about the state of mind. All the other things you describe are common sense and smart. There is no reason to spend money when you don't need to, but once you say you are broke when you are not, I think that's where you cross the line to cheapness.

Nope. If Restaurants offer Free food.. GO FOR IT, if thier are coupons for that food, then GO FOR IT, why carry around cash, everything is like computer stuff now, washing your own car is the best, buying your groceries one week at a time is a good idea because your food wont spoil as much.

no ur lucky ur are wise at spending ur money there are many ppl out there that end up HAVING to do these sorts of things cuz of their bad spending. sometimes its not how much money u have its more of how u use it. hmm.so? I live kind of the same way. Except I don't use the entertainment book, and just go to the dollar movies.

I pay for everything on credit card also.but pay the bills every month, plus get a 1% cash back on purchases on credit card.so I hope I'm not "cheap"? Just living sensibly, and wondering why people pay to take their dogs to a doggy diner. Some people spend more on their pets than I do on my kids!

Cheap is a poor word to be using to describe your actions.This is because everyone needs to be THRIFTY from time to time. Remember the adage "a penny saved is a penny earned." No-way you are smart not like other dumb *** ,but because of your kids i think you should just be more spendful on them.
