is it possible for my doc to replace my medication with a placebo without my consent if i tried to commit?

Question:
suicide before

Answers:
No it is not possible. Your doctor would not be able to do this by law. He/She must let you know what they are prescribing for you openly and honestly. I do think that your medicine might have some normal side effects though that are causing you to feel this way and the best thing to do is discuss your concern with your doctor. Your doctor might decide to change your medication with your consent to a drug with less or different effects.

Just because you tried to commit suicide does not give you less rights than anyone else or mean that your doctor will show you any less respect than any other patient.

Lots of people have been in the emotional place that you are in now, and have made full recoveries.

Good luck and take care of yourself.

Other Answers:
I do not think so. THe only time a placebo can be given to you is if you are doing a "trial" and paperwork is filled out first. They all "cover their asses". A doctor can not just Change your Drug without telling you.

Uh, only if he is a bad doctor. And with current freedom of information laws as they are, you can request a viewing of your casenotes if you are unsure. That is, if you live in the UK. no! Total malpractice.

your doctor cannot change your medication without telling you first. it is illegal.

nope. not allowed. if you are getting meds from pharmacy, that would be fraud.

That would be illegal. However if you have felt suicidal your Doctor may want to stop your medication or try another one with your consent i gather theire not allowed.but i get the same feelings as you,i somtimes think hes gonna do that.but no it isnt allowed.

That would be malpractise not to mention unethical, if u are really feeling that this may be happening u need to discuss it with ur doctor, now!
