Am I just insane or something?

Question:
When I am at a friend or relatives house, and we are eating a meal, I have a huge problem.

Example, last night we had Chicken and Sausage gumbo made by my aunt, it was VERY good. But whenever I tried to compliment it, I freaked out because I would almost say "THis is disgusting" or "THis is awful" when I would mean to say "This is delicious" or "this is amazing" but I keep getting these...URGES...to just completely insult the meal, even though I love it.

I mean, just typing this I had to delete "awful" and put "amazing" above. WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME?

Answers:
tourettes syndrome, although they usually do not have much control over what they say so you must be able to contain it very well, go see a psychiatrist I am sure there are treatments for it.

Other Answers:
Maybe you have tourettes syndrome.
This sounds a lot like Tourette's Syndrome. You should check it out on a search engine to see if it fits your symptoms. I don't believe that there's any cure.
You seem to have perhap repressed anger...? If you hold your anger and don't find ways to vent, it may result in something that you just described....You should seek counseling and maybe deal underlying issues of anger...
well, i think you don't have an enough centralization. just focus on the things you wanna say, don't' think about other things.
your evil side has taken over you
Don't worry. You're not losing it. You probably feel nervous around your family and friends and you worry that you might mess up around them.
Try not to think about messing up and you won't get those 'urges'.
hmm.. thats kind of odd. sounds like you may have torettes syndrome since u said its an "urge" i would go to the doctor
