What to say on the phone.?

Question:
I've worked up enough confidence to ring a teen suicide helpline (just about) but now I just need help with what to say. I've never rang a helpline before and am scared about what to say. Please suggest what they will say to begin with.

Answers:
Just start by saying "I need help" they will take it from there and you'll find it easy I promise.
PLEASE take no notice of the retarded prat. He's sick in the head.
Once you speak to someone on the phone they will help you in every way.
They know how to talk to you and they will help and you'll soon be able to tell them what is wrong.
You don't have to give your real name if you don't want to, just use a nickname.
You will never be asked to do something you don't want to and won't be forced into anything you don't want to do.
Take care there are a lot of people out there who love you.

Yup - what Rich said.

Easy, really. Make the call.

What you need to do is be straight forward and honest about what your feeling and why so the people on the help line can get an insight to your problems and help you reslove it. They will probably offer some counselling or an evaluation from an experienced phychiatrist.
