I am on Efexor and want to find out what headache medicine I can take with it?

Question:
The medicine I used to use was Solpadeine or Migraleve as normal Paracetamol does not work with me

Answers:
You need to ask yourself how bad these headaches are and how are they interfering in your life. Sometimes headaches are a side effect of the medication and side effects do not always go away....also you need to rate how intense they are. Are they headaches you could use OTC medicine for or do you have migraines? If you have headaches I would say you could probably use up to 800mgs. Motrin (hospital strength) or Excedrin (although it does contain caffeine)....if you have severe headaches that cause sensitivity to light and/or sound you are having migraines....a medication such as midrin or zomig could prove helpful to you but you would need to get a prescription from your doctor. I prefer Zomig myself in 5 mg dosage....it generally wipes out my migraines without the need to take a second pill. The only drawback is that it is expensive and your insurance may give you a hassle when it comes to covering it. Midrin however is cheaper and you can get a 30 day supply....

I hope this helps...good luck....
Tylenol, or ask a pharmacist.
