Well, not to sound arrogant, but statistically it's true. If you are talking about the sciences, that is. How many women do you see in computer science, physics, or higher math classes? However, women are "smarter" than men in areas such as relationships and emotions. So really it depends on your definition of intelligence - is it just memorization of facts, or is it knowing how to live?
Don't generalize. "Why SOME men..." would have been better.

Because they want to be turfier than us when it comes down to the little things.
Because, they just take the wheel. They may not be smarter than some women, or vice versa, but in reality, men have more of an ego, and more that they think they need to prove. I like women that can compete with me.
