Recently, when I'm relaxed and lying down...?

Question:
I have experienced in multiple flashes of 'lightning' in my mind's eye . The last one was a few hours ago and I think I 'saw' a black box on a rocky precipice during a flashing jagged bolt. I had a feeling in my mind and body of a 'charge' when this happened. It was over in two seconds.
The one before that, last night- I saw a flash in a cicular form and a sound of human surprise and shock emanated this single flash of white light, I beleive the sound was a high pitched 'aarrrgh'- it sounded a bit like my brother when he is sometimes taken by surprise.
There was another one the other day too, this was just a multiple flash.
I am only slightly apprehensive about the visions, I'm more interested in getting to the bottom of the experiences.
These flashes occur in my mind and are involuntary, so I assume they are from somewhere else or some source other than myself. Do you know what they mean or what causes them?

Answers:
I also experience a kind of vision like this. It can be one of two things.

First of all, I don't necessarily believe in psychic abilities, but there are those of us out here who have been gifted with a heightened sense of intuition which connects us to life in ways that most people can't or don't. It could be that you are having this type of episode, especially since it happens when you are in a more relaxed state.

The other possibility is medical. The smart thing to do would be to talk to your doctor about a CAT scan, just to rule out any impending neurological disorders, especially if you ever experience any pain or discomfort before, during, or after one of these episodes.

Once you have ruled out all medical causes, then you can get down with your bad self and your new abilities...LOL

Try meditation...

Perhaps epilepsy? Or they could be more spiritual in nature. i have never experienced anything like this. If it only happens when you are lying down, it could be flashes from your subconscious-- kind of like a mini-dream. But you may want to menttion this to your doctor.
If you are not on drugs ( I had a similar experience after a heart operation on the prescibed sleeping pills) - then see a doctor and/or a psychiatrist asap
i'd advise you to see ur doctor it might be signs of epilepsy
I've had similar and was told by an eye doctor that even though I had no headache, it was something called an optic migraine. He said it was nothing to worry about.
I have a friend who also has them, so they may not be that unusual, even though they sure are unusual to experience.
Talk it over with a doctor to rule out health problems it may be pychic abilities as i've read about similar experiences.
