how to stop birds from banging against my window in the morning?

Question:
outside my new apartment there are trees which are home to what seems like thousands of birds. every morning these birds pirch themselves up on my 10th floor window sill....other birds fly by them and hit the window. sometimes birds will get in a bit of a fight and bang their wings and bodies against the window very loudly

this wakes me up at 6:00 / 6:30 every morning. because i work later i'm usually in bed later and rise later so lately i haven't been getting very much sleep and i am exhausted.

i tried hanging snakes out the window to no avail, the birds don't seem to care about them one way or the other.

any ideas how i could stop this from happening?

i posted this under mental health because it's driving me crazy ;) haha

Answers:
buy a plastic owl for your windowsill or get some of the anti pigeon spikes you see on puplic buildings

Other Answers:
kill it
Cover your windows with glue, that way the culprits will stick, you will then be able to put a reasoned argument forward before releasing them.
put curtains up so the birds dont thing they can fly through or dont clean your windows
Tape a cut out of an owl to the inside of your window. They'll notice it now and stay well clear.
Open the window and let them in.
yea buy a big eaglre or something, works for my prob.
or get a bb gun!
that would be more fun
If this is a real problem, you can get a bird net. This fixes across the window and is held about 6 inches away with offsets.

If this is a mental health problem, let them out and keep taking the medication.
LET THEM IN THEY OBVIOUSLY WANT YOUR ATTENTION FOR SOMETHING
Open u'r window, then they can bang in u'r home..
Get some window clings that compliment you interior and the birds will see them. Or hang a Stained glass piece in the window. If you can attach a bird feeder to the outside of the window and give them something to land on not against.
Do you have curtains?

perhaps they dont actually see the glass, let alone understand what they have hit.

I wonder if blinds or a net curtain might help, poor little things!

Hope you find an answer soon, for the birds and your sake!
afraid youll need to get the windows with wire in them as birds dont see glass they try fly through not realising its a window but with wire in it they will see the wire and know they wont make it
leave the window open... get a cat... the RSPCA will get you for hanging snakes outside!
Seriously though go to an outdoor pursuits shop and get a plastic eagle owl. put this on the window sill or roof and the wee birdies will assume a predator has arrived for breakfast.
1.put chiken wire and rig it to a low voltage transformer.... 15 volts
2.put tiny spike strip on the window cill
3. if they fly into your windows, put something up to draw thier attention, net curtians
Cover your windows externally with a net at night. or paint your windows externally with a mirror paint. Whne they see their reflections perhaps the collisions may decrease ( may increase too as I have noticed sparrows get more agitated on seeing their reflection in my bike's rear view mirror and break it with their beaks). There may be cruel solutions (which I am sure are evident...thorns etc) but I guess you wouldn't want to try them out. maybe an infrasound device (dogs may be disturbed though).
get a cat!
Birds, apparantly, don't like cobwebs. You can get these thin plastic squares with white cobwebs printed on - that just stick on your windows, and it keeps the birds away.
try making a feeder and hanging it out the window the birds are doing this because they are hungry. i hope this solves the problem good luck to you
if i were you i will fixe a terrifying sound on the trees and at my window post this could scare them away...............
open window;)
Remove the window or brick it up
MOVE then it's not your problem
close your curtains
you need to go and buy some crystal stick on window magnets and put them on the inside of your window the glare from the crystal will make the birds no that they cant fly into the window because they dont see the window they think they can fly through it
