one other think I forgot to mention that not ,only does listening/playing that type of music make ppl depressed but it also makes ppl have less respect for other ppl's property and they steel. Proof please?

How many people listened to country western music, and died and cried in their beer? I listen to todays rock music, and I have surmized this...many of the lyrics tell you to get even, to use people, that you have no hope, go ahead and cheat, kill,..it is okay to end your life, everything that God and Jesus does not stand for. Yes, It is very negative. I used to love music...still do, but do not listen to the garbage out there now. You might get into music from the sixties, much more loving, innocent, and happy. The stuff today, is so depressing, down, and hopeless, to tell you the truth. You are full of crap!! I am a 59 year old woman and still listen to hard rock/metal music. It actually has a positive effect on me and makes me feel happy. You just don't "get" it!

I run into people all the time who are sooooo "depressed," then I find out they listen to all this angry, negative, and depressing music. Sometimes people just listen to music which validates their negative outlook. It's rather childish. I don't think it's helpful. Anyway, most of them need to unplug the Ipod and do something with their lives.
As for "warning" people, I suggest you give that up. Just live YOUR life positively, and get rid of all that negative music.

Any kind of music can harm your hearing if you listen to it real loud. Not just rock/heavy metal. I listen to rock/heavy metal. I respect people, i'm not depressed all the time. I don't steal. What about rap music all they talk about is killin people and having sex and calling women whores and bitches. Some people listen to rap and don't act like that, but then some people do. You shouldn't judge someone because of what they listen to. I think you need to get a life. And leave this person alone. If they like the music there listening to then let them listen to it.
