Depression?
Question:
Answers:
This sounds like depression to me. You need to see your doctor or therapist. If its a mild enough case of depression perhaps therapy is all you need. If its severe enough or doesn't respond to therapy you may need medication.
I've been on antidepressants for about 4 years. Before that I fought with depression on my own---and it was a dumb thing to do. I'd NEVER go back to my pre-medication days now after seeing what a world without depression is like.
What is silly is that I waited so long to seek help---I waited till I was 44 before I finally talked to my doctor about it. I put it off because I thought my doctor would think I was crazy! LOL!
She didn't think I was crazy--she gave me a couple of tests and I guess I either passed them, or flunked them with flying colors because she put me on antidepressants. I was on Effexor for about 3 years---and it worked wonders. Side effects got to be a little tedious, so I mentioned to my doc that I'd like to try something with less side effects. I'm on Lexapro now--depression is gone and two of the three main Effexor side effects are gone as well! woo hoo!
Don't put it off, Rachel. You deserve to be happy and there's nothing wrong with seeking help for depression.
Best of luck to you!
you should definetly see if it could be something chemically wrong w/ you. I have the same feelings and its all cause my thyroid is off. You should check into this...but if you want to talk to me you can elbellasera@yahoo.com :-) i will listen to you
