Any bad withdrawals from paxil?

Question:
Is quitting 60mg of paxil a day, that i have been taking for 6yrs.Agood thing or a very bad thing? If it is bad to quit cold turkey what are some answers as to how to do the right thing.

Answers:
Quiting paxil cold turkey is not good. Even cutting the dose over time has side affects. I was on Paxil for 3 years 30mgs and I quit taking them. I hade buzzing in my ears, dizziness, trembles, ect. I would talk to your doctor to see what you could do if not taking them is what you really need to do.
I took paxil for five years. I had a horrible time quitting, but I finally did it. Quitting cold turkey was not the answer. I was extremely emotional when I tried that. What finally worked for me was taking one every other day for a couple of weeks. Then I took it every few days, and so on until I thought I could completely stop. It took a few months to totally stop, but it worked. Good luck!
