well i try very very hard to keep a promise and succeed most of the time.. but when its a fatal secret and you would be hurting someone by not revealing it. i go around the promise and fing a loophole in it ... I try to never make a promise that I cannot keep. Unforseen circumstances do sometimes arise to make that promise impossible but for the most part, I would YES, I don't promise unless I can keep it.
