Why do people always try to tell me what to do?
Question:
Answers:
I think this is a vicious circle between people telling you what to do and your depression, as it is caused by insecurity. You simply have to break it, by standing on your own, affirming your own will and acting according to it. You have to prove yourself and the others around you that you are able to do that, and the problem will eventually solve itself. You gain confidence in your own choices and that will help you proceed further. Also, the ones that once told you what to do will then acknowledge your potential and leave you alone in your decisions, unless you ask for their advice. Hope it helps.
They are trying to help you. Listen to them, and either decide to take their advise or tell them to cram it!
