Ecstasy abuse missed me up, please help?

Question:
I have used ecstasy for about three years, which caused depression, anxiety, low sex drive and general fatigue and lack of motivation, in short it changed me so much. I took some antidepressants for a while which helped a bit, but I still have some of the symptoms. I stopped using for a year now. Any medications or advice anyone can give me? Thank you

Answers:
Eat healthy and include lots of protein, fish and foods high in omega 3. If you are young, it is possible that you can turn it around. Try to get some exercise, anything, like walking for 10-15 minutes a day. It will take a very long time for the adverse effects to be reversed if they even can be.

Go see a doctor! Your general or family doctor will do. Be completely honest with the doctor!! There may be some other things the doc can suggest.

Lastly, stay away from any drugs.including OTC, unless a doc tells you to take them!

Other Answers:
Maybe you should got see a Physiologist and talk to them and they could help you out more and get you the medication that you need

Aw, I am so sorry to hear that. I know that ecstacy affects the seratonin level in your brain. Why did you stop using the antidepressents? Did they stop working? I would try to see a therapist that can prescribe medication and try out different medications until you find one that works.

I can't offer too much help, just hang in there and I hope things get better for you. Also, maybe try to switch things up in your life. Find a new job or something that makes you happy and gives you an adrenaline rush such as an outdoor activity like dirt biking or something like that.

I hope this helps and good luck.

You're just going to have to make a choice to make you're life better. What you're doing right now isn't working, so do something different. Anything. Start with something small. Rearrange your room. Clean the bathroom.

There is no one thing you can do. There are many. If you take the drug you pay the price. you know what it would do but you thought it wouldn't happen to you. well who's having fun now.

It will take years to get your brain back to what it was, but it will take time. You need to find help but your a changed person now remember your pasted but move on.

I hope you get better take care.
