Answers:
I have had hypo for over two years now. It sounds like you may be taking too high a dose and are now hyPERthroid. It is a balancing act. Call your Dr. and get another blood test. Tell them how you feel. I have found it is hard to get good care for this condition. You should be seeing an endocrinologist, even with them you need to educate yourself and be your own advocate. When I was hypo I gained 10 lbs. in a week, puffy face and eyes, BRAIN FOG, my speech was slowed and slurred, trouble lifting my arms, weak, tired, moody. The list goes on. Once they finally found the right dose, which usually takes a while for most people, I felt much better. You should be getting checked every 6 weeks until they find the right dose. They you will go on maintenance which means period checks. Unless you are not feeling well. Chest pains are never to be taken lightly. Good luck.
Yes I have it. I am 19 years old, and was diagnosed with it when I was in 4th grade. I was extremely tired all the time, and gained a lot of weight. However, I have never had any concentration, hearing, or memory problems. I am now a runner, so I lost all my weight, and I take Synthroid .075 mg. The amount of doasge depends on your situation.
