Could I be depressed now?

Question:
I had some blood tests about 5 years ago for depression. The tests were negative.
Could it be possible for me to be depressed now? Is it possible to have depression and it NOT show up on blood tests?

Answers:
I really wonder what they were testing in your blood for depression. Was it thyroid? I would talk to your doctor if you think you are depressed. Yes in 5 years time a great deal of things can change and you could be depressed. The main thing is that you are thinking you might be.

Depression can be very serious and even lead to death if left un checked. Please talk to your doctor about this and get help. There is no need to suffer. This is not your fault and there are effect treatments out there.
