Lexapro cause drowsiness?
Question:
Answers:
Lexapro does not list drowsiness as one of its side effects. However, what I know about me and prescription medication is, sometimes medications do the exact opposite of what's expected. Drugs that usually cause drowsiness (like Tylenol PM) make me jittery, and caffeine puts me right to sleep. Some people just have backward reactions, with drowsiness and insomnia. I've been told that autistic and ADD/ADHD people are most likely to have that kind of effect, but I'm sure it could happen to anybody. If it bothers you too much, ask your pharmacist what to do about it.
I have been on lex for over two years now and have no side effects of anykind from it.
