Question:

people who kill themselves go based on your beliefs? What are your beliefs? if you believe in god do you still go to heaven or whatever good place there is if you kill yourself?

Answers:
I am a believer(christian)
The first think that we must always say is that suicide is sin. God forbids us to murder (beginning at Genesis 9:6), and thus taking our own life is wrong as well. To put it plainly, suicide is sin. It is a sin that is especially tempting to two kinds of folks: (1) those who believe there is nothing after death; and, (2) those who are assured that heaven awaits them after death (Christians). I do not believe that suicide is an unpardonable sin for a Christian, for Christ died to save us from all our sins. We don’t go to heaven because we stop sinning altogether as Christians, but because Christ died for our sins. Death (even death by one’s own hand) keeps no Christian from heaven, though we will have a lot of explaining to do when we get there. Death by one’s own hand deprives us of seeing how God would have faithfully provided for our needs if we had remained behind and waited for Him to turn our suffering into something good (Romans 8:28). Death for the one who does not trust in Christ is much more terrifying, because it takes us to judgment without any further opportunity to repent (Hebrews 9:27).

1 John 5:11-12 And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. The one who has the Son has this eternal life; the one who does not have the Son of God does not have this eternal life.

if you off yourself you go to hell

Well technically according to Catholic beliefs (which I'm not), suicide is the worst sin ever and you will be damned forever. Personally, I believe suicide is a sin but no sin is greater than another. . .it's a sin cuz it involves murder

actually christians dont believe you can enter heaven if you do that, its supposedly the one unforgivable sin, however i think everyone goes to the same place and you just have to plan your next incarnation taking the lumps for the quick exit you did. i dont believe anyone is eternally damned for it. but im wiccan so thats a minority thought.

The church says that it is a sin and that you will go to hell. I think that people who want to kill themselves just want to be rid of the pain that they are feeling. But there are better ways to deal with whatever is going on in a person's life. Killing one's self is a rather permanent solution to a temporary problem. This too shall pass and life goes on and gets better. It is best to ask God for help and to call someone.
