Smptoms of an adult child of an alcoholic...what are they?
Question:
Answers:
Contrary to popular belieft, alcoholism is not a disease on it's own! It is the effect of an underlying mental condition. It is how a lot of people learn to self medicate an untreated mental illness. Could be depression, anxiety, bipolar, schitzophrenia, adhd, and so on.... Get a good family history of mental illnesses or other alcoholics in your family and get to a psychologist or psychiatrist. Most of these mental illnesses are genetically inherited and don't come out until you are an adult....get checked out to see if you have something that isn't so obvious to you, and see about treatement options. Good luck!!!
