How do you not take criticism to heart?

i saw this quote on a commercial and i hope you understand it:
"Do nothing, Be nothing, and Say nothing and you'll avoid criticism"
i prolly messed it up, but it basically says that no one can EVER avoid criticism without totally turning their back on their true self. so when you do get criticism, just be kinda glad cuz you're being yourself, or at least trying to make a difference with something. And i PROMISE you'll always get people talking about u til the day you die (and probably after), you just gatta be the best person you can be and hopefully it will be all good stuff said about u.

WHo is saying it and what are they saying?

Glean from it that which is important, or you may have to discard the entire criticism

depends on what kind of criticism??? personally offensive.. or do u take everything to heart..i used to like you now i have learnt not to care..
