can anyone advice me???

Question: Hi my doctor has just prescribed citalopram 10mg for my anxiety but he warned me that i might feel a little more heightened anxiety until they get into my system. Has anyone else suffered from these side effects when you were first put on this medication and how long did it take for it to work and for the side effects of further anxiety to disappear? thanks

Hi I was on citalopram for my post natal depression. The effects took about a week and the only side affect I got was a slightly sea sick feeling for the first few days.

although, has been said previously, they can 'wear off' they did for me and I'm on something else now my husband is still on them (40mg) and he's fine. It just wasn't the right medication for me everyone is different. I hope you find the right one for you
