I think I might be skizofrenic?

How do I tell if I am. I am 17 and i dont want to tell my parents cause they might think i am insane or somthin of that matter

it is true that a lot of schizophrenics dont have very good insight to their illness (don't believe they are schiz. etc or don't know anything is wrong)

BUT

some people do know what they are thinking is paranoid or delusional...they feel like they are going crazy... they know something is wrong......

to tell if you are schizophrenic you need to go see a psychiatrist...hopefully one that specializes in psychotic disorders...... you have to tell your parents so they can make you an appointment... you don't have to suffer like this..... there are great meds out there that can really lessen the symptoms of schizophrenia.... (it can take a whlie to find the right one for you..but it is well worth the effort)
