The need to be alone in a public toilet. Anyone have it?

Question: I would rather walk over and check out all the toilets on both floors of the building I work with until I find a toilet that doesn't have any occupied adjacent cubicles.

It's quite uncomfortable to hear strange noises coming from the cubicle beside me.

I never use the urinal (john) either, and always flush both before AND after I do my business.

My question is: Who else does this? What do you think of it?

I totally get where you are coming from. The bathroom is suppose to be private and personal. I wish every bathroom had its own private room even if it shared the sink space. All it would take is to extend the walls between each toilet and the door. Is privacy really too much to ask.

I can relieve myself whoever else is around and whatever noise is there. I like it better when I'm alone though. Maybe an evolutionary remnant from people being taken out while pooping.
